Car Hire Agreement

Requirements for Vehicle Rental

A valid full driving licence for the appropriate category is required, held for the minimum duration outlined in the Rental Agreement. Peterhead Car Hire: Payments
- Reservations can be completed via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Peterhead office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The total payment, along with a security deposit, is generally required upon vehicle pickup. All rates are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT as applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, ensuring secure transactions through trusted payment processors.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

Additional insurance options may be offered to limit your financial responsibility. It is advisable to review these options closely. You remain liable for damages or losses up to the excess amount unless covered by extra insurance. Negligence, misuse, or violations of these Terms will result in your responsibility for damages, regardless of insurance provisions.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows could incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Your Vehicle
- The vehicle must not be used for any unlawful activities, including racing, rallying, or off-road driving. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should not be used for purposes it was not intended for, nor should it exceed designated passenger or weight limits. Operating outside the agreed geographical boundaries without prior consent is also prohibited.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by the laws of England and Wales, Car Hire Peterhead is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the rental in the past 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or for fraudulent activities.
9. Local Legal Framework
These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in these regions.
